Saturdays weather, including the wind gusting up to 40mph, caused thousands of DTE Energy customers across the metro area to lose power. It also affected many stoplights and added to already tricky road conditions.
DTE Energy says its crews are working around the clock to restore power to the over 100-thousand homes and businesses still offline after Saturday’s storms. The utility says that more than half of those outages are in Wayne County, many are in Oakland and a smaller amount in Macomb. They are not giving a time frame from total restoration at this point.
