A Warren police officer is recovering from injuries he sustained Tuesday morning in an accident at 13 mile and Hoover Road. Mayor Jim Fouts says the officer had gotten out of his vehicle to direct traffic when he was hit by a vehicle. An investigation continues. The Mayor says the officer was taken to the hospital where he’s being treated for a serious leg injury. He is a four year veteran of the force.
