Go ahead— send me to prison — even the death penalty. That’s what Mitchell Blair told a Detroit judge. The Detroit woman who killed two of her children and stored the bodies in a freezer says she doesn’t want a trial and wants to go straight to prison for life. “I’m already saying I did it. I’m accepting life in prison,” she said
At a hearing this morning, Mitchelle Blair told the judge she would “happily” do life in prison and doesn’t understand why the prosecutors were “dragging their feet.” The judge determined that Blair was competent to stand trial on murder, torture and child abuse charges. Judge Kenneth King told Blair she should take a week to decide if she wants to plead guilty. Her next court hearing is June 26. Blair said she won’t change her mind.
