Detroit Police Chief James Craig’s request for an extended citywide youth curfew for the city’s River Days Festival was shot down in flames by the Detroit City Council moments ago. Council has approved the yearly curfew for the night of the fireworks only. The vote was after a lot of public outcry during a long City Council public comment session. Here is audio of final vote:
