Billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian passes away

For years his name was in the Detroit headlines.  Billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian has died in Los Angeles. Kerkorian and his holding company, Tracinda, made a hostile takeover bid for Chrysler in 1995. Tracinda was the largest shareholder when the company entered merger talks with Daimler in 1998. Kerkorian sued over the terms of the merger but lost. He was 98.
