The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced the closure of Interstate 75 in downtown Detroit this coming weekend. The freeway will be closed in both directions between M-10 (Lodge Freeway) and I-375 from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday so crews can install new beams on the bridge that carries Woodward over I-75 as part of the M-1 Rail project.
The Tigers play Cleveland at Comerica Saturday—that will mean a change of travel plans for those who use I-75.
