Effects of weekend rain include a flooded out Allen Park Police Station

heavy rain - carAlthough we are dry now, the weekend of rain has left some residences and business with issues. For instance, the Allen Park Police Station is flooded out. They’ve had to move operations and get dispatching help. Officials hope they’ll be able to build a new police station.

Other problems remain throughout the area because of the weekend soaking. There are still some scattered power outages, down from 40-thousand at the height of the heavy rains.

How much did we get? Nearly 4 inches of rain in Rochester Hills, Inkster: 3.5, Monroe 3: inches, 2 in St. Clair Shores. Most spots in Southeast Michigan got a couple of inches of rain. The good news is now we can expect a stretch of pleasant weather through mid-week.
