A half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall will open for public display in the Detroit area this evening. The wall be available for viewing from tonight through next Monday, which is Memorial Day, at the Clinton Township Civic Center on Romeo Plank Road.
The opening ceremony is set for 6 o’clock tonight. It will be open to the public 24 hours a day until a closing ceremony at 4 p.m. Memorial Day.
The Vietnam Memorial was first on display in Clinton Township during the Labor Day weekend in 2010 and drew an estimated 12,500 visitors.
