P-FAS Cleanup Deal

The makers of Hush Puppy shoes is near a settlement to pay the state and local communities nearly 70-million dollars over the use of P-FAS chemical compounds at the vacant shoe factory in west Michigan.
Wolverine Worldwide would pay for new water hookups for hundreds of homes where wells were tainted with P-FAS chemicals. The tannery was closed in 2009. It’s one of many sites tainted by P-FAS in Michigan.
