Starting today, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources is auctioning off what it calls prime locations of public land throughout the state.
Among the land being offered, lake view properties with winding trails and possible river access.
147 parcels of land will be available ranging in size from less than an acre up to 160 acres.
Most of the land is located in central/northern Michigan and the U-P.
The auction will run through January 8th.
