Work To Start On FCA Plant

Detroit will get it’s first new auto assembly plant in 30 years.
Activity will step up immediately on Detroit’s east side where a new Fiat Chrysler plant will be built.
Detroit City Council gave the okay for land swaps and city of Detroit bonds to pay for the land deal.
The state gives millions in tax abatements to Fiat Chrysler. Up to 6-thousand jobs will be created.
City of Detroit residents will get first opportunity to be hired.

The deal gives land parcels to Crown Enterprises, owned by the Maroun family, in exchange for land it owned that will be used for the auto plant.
