Before the football game between Michigan and Wisconsin at Michigan Stadium tomorrow night, another big event will take place for football fans who want to get on T-V.
ESPN College Game Day will broadcast from Ingalls Mall on North University in Ann Arbor.
Game Day Airs from 9am to 12noon, but fans start showing up at 6am to get into the pit– the sectioned-off area right behind the set, where screaming fans are the backdrop for the broadcast team..
Fans are screened by security before being allowed to enter the pit… no backpacks or purses, no food or drinks. Signs are encouraged, but they are also screened … no profanity, politics, pens, pencils, or dry eraser boards.
Fans can also roam in the mall area around the pit. Big live-screen TV’s will be set up.
Game Day is usually a good omen for Michigan. The Wolverines are 9 and 3 when Game Day comes to Ann Arbor.
