Overpass Rock Death In Court

A preliminary exam has been scheduled for today for five young men charged in a fatal rock-throwing incident from a Flint-area highway overpass.
The 5 were between the ages of 15 and 18 last October when a 6-pound rock was thrown on to the I-75 freeway in Vienna Township.

It hit the windshield of a van that 32 year old Kenneth White has been riding in. White was killed.

The 32 year old Mount Morris man was the father of a young son.

The five rock throwers have been charged with 2nd degree murder and are facing possible life prison terms.

Prosecutors say they had thrown more than a dozen rocks on to the freeway that afternoon.
