MSP Sued By One Of It’s Own

A high-ranking Michigan State Police trooper has filed a whistleblower lawsuit against state police officials.

Scott Woodard says he was targeted with retaliation by two officials after he reported unauthorized spending of funds.

Woodard was the executive director of the Auto Theft Prevention Authority. He reported the misuse of funds in November. He said the money from special license fees was being used to pay for a state police computer server and for salaries.

The lawsuit says Woodard was told he’s being relieved of his duties. He’s on medical leave from MSP.
