The second man wanted for the carjacking and rape of a woman in Lincoln Park has turned himself in. Police said the victim was taken at gunpoint March 30 while she was parked outside a Walgreens. She told police the two men drove around and repeatedly raped her until one of the men said he had to be home because it was a requirement for his tether.
One suspect was arrested earlier this week and another turned himself in to police on Wednesday.

The families of the two men say they are telling a different story than police, and that text messages back them up.

They say 19-year-old Fernando Anderson has text messages from the woman that show Anderson and his cousin contacted her on Backpage, a website. They say she is a prostitute who may have been angered because the men didn’t pay her, so she went to police and made up the story.

The two men are being held by authorities but haven’t been charged.
