JOSHUA “JD” PARISH
Following life as an Iraq War veteran, Josh Parish co-founded VETLIFE, which is a non profit that supports veterans.
A graduate of Thomas Cooley School of Law, Josh leverages his legal expertise to advocate for veterans’ rights.
Under his leadership, VETLIFE has facilitated over 100,000 veterans in accessing their entitled military benefits. Along with his wife, he has pioneered Michigan’s largest free outreach events for veterans and their families, earning recognition from the Governor’s office with a National Service Impact Award.
Beyond accolades, Josh has actively advised legislation to establish localized support across Michigan and supported innovative programs to address the unmet needs of veterans and their families, especially during their transition to civilian life.

MATT LEACH
Matt Leach serves as the Partnership Coordinator for VETLIFE. In his role, Matt leads strategic partnerships across corporate, nonprofit, and media sectors, helping scale VETLIFE’s impact through initiatives such as the Battle Buddy app, in-person veteran outreach events, and national media programming. His work focuses on building mission-aligned relationships that remove barriers, reduce isolation, and make access to support simpler for the veteran community.
Matt brings nearly a decade of on-air radio experience from WTKA-AM 1050, where he developed a strong reputation for thoughtful conversation, community storytelling, and engaging interviews. His background in radio, combined with his day-to-day work alongside veterans, gives him a unique perspective on transition, service, and purpose beyond the uniform.
As a host of The Veteran Blueprint, Matt is passionate about amplifying veteran voices, highlighting meaningful paths after service, and showcasing organizations and individuals making a real difference in the lives of those who served.
