April 23, 2026 ~ Lomas Brown Jr., Detroit Lions Legend and co-host of SportsWrap with Lomas Brown and Anthony Bellino, previews night one of the NFL Draft.PITTSBURGH, PA. ~ Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft kicks off Thursday night at 8 p.m., and the Detroit Lions have a number of holes they could choose to fill with the 17th overall pick.

Two positions of immediate need are offensive tackle and defensive end, and one name that has been linked by the national media to the Lions is former Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor. Another potential name, and position, that could be called is former Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy, despite injury concerns after suffering a torn ACL in Jan. 2025.

Detroit General Manager Brad Holmes is no stranger to draft night trades, and with multiple picks in the fifth and sixth rounds, there could be some movement on Friday night or Saturday afternoon, if not Thursday night. Tight end Sam LaPorta has also been a topic of trade discussions as his contract is set to expire in 2027.

April 23, 2026 ~ Todd Flood, managing partner of Flood Law PLLC and host of Behind the Bench with Todd Flood on WJR, discusses the reclassification of marijuana.WASHINGTON D.C. ~ On Thursday, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced on X that he will resclassify FDA-approved marijuana and state-licensed medical marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III.

While the order won’t legalize medical marijuana federally, it will allow researchers to more easily explore the medical possibilities of the drug.

“These actions will enable more targeted, rigorous research into marijuana’s safety and efficacy, expanding patients’ access to treatments and empowering doctors to make better-informed healthcare decisions,” Blanche wrote on X.

He also said that the order will expedite a Congressional hearing to fully reschedule marijuana.

Time Delay Between Over-the-Air Analog Signal and Internet Broadcast: Due to the time delay that exists between the Station’s analog over-the-air signal and the Station’s online webcast, listeners who listen to the Station online may hear the cue to call later than listeners listening to the Station’s analog over-the-air signal. As a result, the odds of an online listener entering this Contest on-air may be diminished.
Verification of Potential Winner. THE ELIGIBILITY OF ALL POTENTIAL CONTEST WINNERS IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY STATION WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE CONTEST. The potential winner must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The potential winner may be notified by email and/or telephone call after the date of random drawing and/or winner determination. The potential winner will be required to sign and return to Station, within three (3) days of the date notice is sent, an affidavit of eligibility and a liability/publicity release (except where prohibited) to claim the prize, if applicable. A winner who returns the affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release will be deemed to have accepted the contest prize and thereafter will not be permitted to rescind their acceptance of the prize and/or return
2
the prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the affidavit of eligibility and/or the liability/publicity release within the required time period (if applicable), or if the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize. In the event that the potential winner of a prize is disqualified for any reason, Station may award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded.
5.
Prizes. Two (2) prizes will be awarded in this Contest. Each winner will receive: two (1 pair) tickets to the Josh Groban concert on June 25, 2026 at the Little Caesars Arena (Detroit, MI); $30 in Michigan Lottery instant tickets.
The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each prize is ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS ($230).
TOTAL ARV OF ALL CONTEST PRIZES IS: FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS ($640).
Winner is responsible for all taxes associated with prize receipt and/or use. Odds of winning a prize depend on a number of factors including the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period and listeners participating at any given time. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Station may, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Any tickets and/or gift certificates/cards awarded as part of a prize will be subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the issuer and are valid only on the date(s) printed on the tickets or gift certificates/cards. Other restrictions may apply. If any prize or a portion of any prize is postponed, cancelled, or otherwise unavailable due to disease, epidemic, pandemic, quarantine, any acts of government and/or any reason that is beyond the control of Station or any Sponsor, then no substitution shall be provided. Station and any Sponsors make no representation or warranty about the safety of any prize. By accepting and using a prize, each winner acknowledges and assumes all risks of accepting and using the prize, and any other risks associated with the prize.
6.
Entry Conditions and Release. By entering, each entrant agrees to: (a) comply with and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Station, which are binding and final in all matters relating to this Contest; (b) release and hold harmless Station, Cumulus Media New Holdings Inc., and each of their affiliated companies, participating sponsors, the prize suppliers and any other organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Contest, and each of their respective past and present officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liability, including but not limited to negligence and damages of any kind to persons and property, including but not limited to invasion of privacy (under appropriation, intrusion, public disclosure of private facts, false light in the public eye or other legal theory), defamation, slander, libel, violation of right of publicity, infringement of trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights, property damage, or death or personal injury arising out of or relating to a entrant’s entry, creation of an entry or submission of an entry, participation in the Contest, acceptance or use or misuse of prize (including any travel or activity related thereto) and/or the broadcast, exploitation or use of entry; and (c) indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liabilities (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to an entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or entrant’s acceptance, use, non-use or misuse of the prize.
3
7.
Publicity. Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s consent to use by the Station and its agent of entrant’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, entry, and/or biographical information (including hometown and state) for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
8.
Taxes. All State, Local, Federal and/or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize or prizes valued $600 or more in any given year will be issued an IRS Form 1099 to report their winnings.
9.
General Conditions. Station reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Station’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Station in its sole discretion. Station reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Station reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Station’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
10.
Limitations of Liability. The Released Parties are not responsible for: (a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Station, entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (b) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (c) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (d) technical or human error that may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; or (e) any injury or damage to persons or property that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use, non-use or misuse of any prize. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. In event that a production, technical, programming or other error causes more than stated number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be claimed, Station reserves the right to award only the stated number of prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, unawarded, eligible prize claims.
11.
Disputes. Entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved exclusively by the United States District Court or the appropriate state court located in the Station’s listening area; (c) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (d) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and Station in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state in which the Station is located, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the state in which the Station is located or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state in which the Station is located.
4
12.
Entrant’s Personal Information. Information collected from entrants is subject to Station’s Privacy Policy, which is available on the Station’s website under the “Privacy Policy” link. All entry blanks, forms, devices, and materials gathered during the course of entry, as well as all information contained therein, shall become the sole property of Station to be used, disposed of or destroyed in its sole discretion. Station is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information entered by website users, and assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to Station’s website.
April 23, 2026 ~ Principal of Roe Strategic, Jason Roe, chats with Kevin Dietz about how Tucker Carlson is apologizing for “misleading” people about President Donald Trump as he is now vocally opposing the president’s handling of Iran.A long-time political relationship is seemingly over after conservative political pundit Tucker Carlson publicly apologized for supporting President Donald Trump for the past decade.

During a conversation he had with his brother and former Trump Speech writer, Buckley, the former Fox News host said he was sorry for “misleading people” with his prior public rhetoric on Trump. While he was a vocal supporter of Trump during the 2024 presidential election, Carlson has since publicly shown dissatisfaction with the Trump administration over its handling of the Epstein files, the Iran war, and U.S. support for Israel.

“We’ll be tormented by it for a long time,” he said.

In a Truth Social post made a couple weeks ago, Trump publically lashed out at conservative critics of his, including Carlson. He called the pundit a “Hand Flailing Fool” and claimed “he was a broken man when he got fired from Fox, and he’s never been the same.“

Photo: Wesley Hale ~ Imagn ImagesEAST LANSING ~ Michigan State addressed its biggest offseason question April 22 by landing Anton Bonke, a 7-foot-2 center who transferred from Charlotte, giving Tom Izzo an experienced interior presence. His commitment comes at a key moment for the Spartans, who were searching for frontcourt stability following the departures of Carson Cooper and Jaxon Kohler. Listed at 270 pounds, Bonke becomes one of the tallest players in program history and is expected to compete for immediate minutes.

Bonke is coming off a breakout junior season with the 49ers, where he started 32 games and averaged 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game in just over 25 minutes per contest. He shot 57.6% from the field and demonstrated perimeter ability by hitting 34.2% of his 3-point attempts, a blend of size and versatility that made him one of the most sought-after centers in the transfer portal this spring.

(CONTINUED) His rapid development stands out. A native of Port Vila, Vanuatu, Bonke did not begin playing basketball seriously until his midteens. He started at the junior college level and later spent a limited season at Providence before flourishing at Charlotte with increased responsibility. Last season, he recorded eight double-doubles and 51 total blocks, continuing to grow as a rebounder and rim protector.

For Michigan State, Bonke represents more than a roster addition. His experience allows freshman Ethan Taylor to develop without immediate pressure while giving Izzo a veteran option capable of anchoring the paint. If Bonke’s progression continues in East Lansing, he could play a significant role in shaping the Spartans’ interior presence during the 2026–27 season.

DETROIT ~ Questions are swirling over when the Gordie Howe International Bridge will open to the public, though political machinations are keeping the timeline uncertain.

The bridge was set to open in the fall of 2025, though the opening day was changed in August to sometime in the spring of this year. President Donald Trump’s push for the U.S. to have joint ownership of the bridge with Canada has reportedly caused friction with the opening, with him threatening to block the opening back in February if his demands were not met.

Canada paid for the construction of the bridge in a deal with then-Gov. Rick Snyder was made back in 2012, though Michigan and Canada have joint ownership. Tolls collected by Canada at the bridge would be collected to recoup the project costs.

Heather Grondin, a spokesperson for the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority, told media outlets that the group still expects the bridge to open this spring, but no official date has been set.

The Gordie Howe Bridge would mark another connection between Detroit and Windsor over the Detroit River, featuring bike and walking lanes to cross the border, along with cars.

April 23, 2026 ~ Congresswoman Lisa McClain joins Kevin Dietz to talk about the news of the day and what is going on in the political world in Michigan.IRAN ~ The Strait of Hormuz remains a hotbed of conflict amid the U.S.-Iran War, with the latter attacking three ships and seizing two of them on Wednesday and collecting tolls from passing ships.

Iran confirmed it seized the Liberian-flagged Epaminondas and the Panama-flagged MSC Francesca for “disrupting the order and safety of the Strait of Hormuz,” traveling through the strait without authorization, and manipulating its navigation systems. These ships, along with the Greek-owned Euphoria, reportedly came under fire while traveling through the waterway.

The seizures came a day after President Donald Trump indefinitely prolonged a ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran, a day before it was set to expire, while continuing its blockade in the Strait against Iranian ports. Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said the blockade was “an act of war and thus a violation of the ceasefire.”

Iran announced it was reclosing the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday, a major oil shipping lane, in response to the blockade. The nation has also collected its first revenue from tolls it placed on the waterway during the war.

Iran’s Legal Medicine Organization recently reported that 3,375 people have been killed by U.S.-Israeli airstrikes, with Israel’s campaign in Lebanon killing over 2,200 people. In retaliation, Iran has launched attacks across the region at U.S. allies, killing dozens in Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates.

April 22, 2026 ~ Jordyn Hermani of Bridge Michigan explains why legislative progress has stalled in Lansing, unpacking the political gridlock and what it means for Michigan taxpayers and voters.LANSING ~ With the Michigan State Legislature practically divided evenly along party lines, bills are moving to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s desk at a snail’s pace.

In the first three months of 2026, the Michigan Legislature has passed only seven bills, though the slow pace of bills managed to outpace the first six months of 2025, which saw only six bills passed. An article published by Bridge Michigan states that the Legislature is set for a summer break soon, with fall elections to follow, potentially straining legislative action further.

“This is an election season, so lawmakers have a bit of an incentive to try and get out of Lansing as soon as they can to hit the campaign trail and try to get reelected,” Bridge Michigan reporter Jordyn Hermani told WJR. “We’re seeing a return to last year. We’re seeing these lawmakers who are locked into fierce, partisan, personal battles. What this means for Michiganders – what this means for us back at home and the policies that we will see enacted – it really does leave a lot of things up in the air.”

According to the article, the Michigan Legislature may be limited to actions on the state budget, leaving property tax relief, a medical debt relief plan, and funding for the Selfridge Air National Guard Base in limbo.

Currently, the Democrats control the State Senate by one member in a 19-18 split. The State House is under a similarly narrow divide, favoring the GOP with a 52-58 split.
