Alex Goldsmith is the Executive Director for New City Kids Detroit and has recently launched the new location in response to the challenges that kids were facing at home, socially, and academically as a result of the pandemic. While many other youth service organizations had to close their doors this year, Alex and his team built momentum and hired a staff to enable the offering of individualized mentorship, professional music lessons, and rigorous college readiness support.

Katie Gandy is the Senior Community Engagement Specialist for Barton Malow and has been an integral part in working with clients and community stakeholders to increase transparency and inclusion for the neighborhoods her organization builds. She also supports programs like Barton Malow’s Boot Camp, a six-week program that provides a workforce that mirrors the diverse communities that her organization operates in with hands-on experience at an active job site.

Adelaide Pascaris is the Senior Manager of Local and Community Affairs for ITC Holdings Corp. and implements organizational strategy in the Southeastern Michigan region and enhances relationships with area communities and local government groups and officials. She also oversees partnerships with charitable organizations, has held positions in information technology, and is a certified project management professional.

Lester Booker Jr. is the Vice President and Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Communications at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. and is responsible for creating an integrated, enterprise-wide approach to DE&I Communications. In addition to this, Lester leads the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Communications efforts to showcase his company’s commitment to diversity in a meaningful way, which is directly aligned to advancing key business objectives.

Andrea Trudeau is the Event Services Director at Detroit Auto Dealers Association, and handles the job with firmness, political savvy, and diplomacy as needed. Working with all types of parties and groups, Andrea designs the floor planning and layouts for auto shows, as well as traveling all over the world to meet with suppliers and auto companies to encourage them to participate. She is currently the lead with the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, organizing the new Motor Bella, featuring car brands from around the world!

Liz Doerr is a regional food safety specialist for Meijer. She serves as part of the Meijer Food Safety team, contributing the focus on freshness of Meijer products and is responsible for communicating safety lessons and messages as well as building relationships with leaders within Meijer and local regulatory inspectors. Her impact is seen over 45 Meijer and Fresh Thyme retail stores and gas stations, distribution facilities, manufacturing facilities, and other areas throughout the supply chain.

Lisa Peppel is a global commodity director in the purchasing department for seating supplier Adient.
She manages a global team and is responsible for more than $3 billion in annual spend, covering steel and metal commodities. In this role, Lisa leads the team to achieve cost reduction and new sourcing targets; develops contingency plans for suppliers to avoid production disruptions; and resolves open commercial issues.
