From the mid-Atlantic to New England, millions of residents are bracing for what could be a major snowstorm this weekend. The National Weather Service says ice could be a factor in parts of Georgia and Tennessee on Wednesday. As the storm heads toward the Mid-Atlantic, forecasters believe it could dump more than a foot of snow on major cities like Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York starting late tomorrow or Friday. Washington D.C. could be the bullseye for what may be a record breaking snowfall with a significant impact. The winter storm is expected to dump more than a foot of snow with blizzard conditions. Road and school closures, flight cancellations, and power outages are likely. Temperatures are expected to remain in the teens and single digits, with wind chill factors dropping the mercury well below zero. The blast of winter could last through much of the weekend, leaving millions of people shivering in the cold
