Farmington Hills Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for a home invasion in the 12 Mile and Farmington Road area on Tuesday.
Police say a homeowner arrived at his home on Peppermill Street around 7:30 p.m. interrupting the suspect. The suspect fled the scene but the homeowner was able to fire off two shots at the truck the alleged thief was driving. The homeowner is a licensed concealed pistol holder. A short time later the truck was involved in a crash at 13 Mile and Middlebelt, but was able to keep driving.
The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build about 6’2″ driving a full sized regular cab pick up, possibly a Dodge Ram. Anyone with information is asked to call the Farmington Hills Police.
