A Byron Township man, Brian Houseman, man may be responsible for solving a 9-year-long missing person case. Houseman tells investigators he was decorating a Christmas tree outside of Cook Funeral Home when he noticed a car submerged in a nearby pond. Kent County Sheriff officials responded and recovered a car registered to 72-year-old Davie Niles of Byron Township. Skeletal remains were inside the vehicle. Niles was last seen in October 2006.
