A 58-year-old Milford woman is accused of beating a man and a dog with a metal rod. Police say the woman beat the two then called 911 Monday night to report the injured man and dog in her home. Police reported the 68-year-old man is on life support at the University of Michigan Hospital. The dog was treated at an area veterinarian office. Milford police say they are pursuing attempted murder and animal cruelty charges against the woman.
