Jury selection is set to begin Monday, November 2nd, in the trial of former Inkster police officer William Melendez, who is charged with felony assault of a motorist in January. Dash cam video shows motorist Floyd Dent being dragged from his car then Melendez beating him repeatedly. Dent was charged with cocaine possession but the charges were dismissed. Melendez denies any wrongdoing and opening arguments for the trial begin Wednesday, November 4th.
