A Marquette teacher is the latest person to contract the bubonic plague. 33 year old Alisha Plescher came down with the disease after returning from Colorado. Officials say she likely caught the disease after a flea bite she received while hiking in the Colorado mountains. She is the 14th person in the U.S. to contract bubanic plague.The current annual U.S. tally is double the recent average. Typically, plague cases show up in Western states.
