WASHINGTON ~ The White House has asked U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle to resign, according to White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia. Zacharia announced the decision Tuesday and said Guilfoyle “has been a wonderful asset to the team” and wished her well.
The request follows reports alleging that Guilfoyle offered access to administration officials in exchange for financial assistance from a Trump donor. Guilfoyle’s attorneys have denied wrongdoing and said any money involved was related to previously agreed-upon speaking and consulting work.
