Detroit Pistons Preview Season at Media Day without Jalen Duren

DETROIT, MICH. ~ The Detroit Pistons unofficially opened the 2026-2027 season with Media Day on Monday afternoon, and All-NBA center Jalen Duren’s absence was noticeable as contract negotiations continue to play out.

Players and coaches took questions from reporters, including the new faces on the team like shooting guard Isaiah Joe.

Training camp is set to tip off Tuesday, with the start of the regular season coming around the corner with a 3 p.m. game against the Boston Celtics at Little Caesars Arena on Oct. 20.
