MICHIGAN ~ As communities prepare for Friday’s observance of Sept. 11, many Americans are taking time to reflect on a day that left a lasting mark on the nation. Memorial ceremonies, moments of silence, and personal acts of remembrance help honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost and those who responded in the aftermath.
The 25th anniversary also provides an opportunity for younger generations to learn about an even they only through history books and family stories. Across Michigan and the country, communities are expected to come together Friday to remember the victims, survivors, and first responders whose lives were forever changed.
