May 18, 2026 ~ Chris Renwick and Lloyd Jackson spoke with Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter about recent antisemitic flyers dropped in Berkley and seeking ways to stop hate in communities.
BERKLEY, MI ~ Berkley police officials are seeking doorbell footage from residents after about 100 flyers were tossed around residential neighborhoods, which they report contained antisemitic messages.
The flyers were placed over the weekend sometime in the evening/early morning of Friday and Saturday. The flyers were sealed inside plastic packets filled with corn and placed on sidewalks and front lawns in the area of Coolidge Highway and Woodward Avenue.
Photos of the flyers show little of their contents, though some mentioned the Anti-Defamation League and showed symbols like the Star of David and the logo for AIPAC, a prominent pro-Israel lobbying group. Some local news outlets said some flyers compared Jewish people to the devil, and one showed a flyer that contained anti-Jewish and anti-LGBTQ+ language related to the Disney corporation.
People can submit video evidence through the department’s online portal.
