WASHINGTON D.C. ~ In a unanimous vote, U.S. Senators passed a bill that will withhold their own pay during federal government shutdowns.
The resolution, which would withhold pay until a shutdown ends, does not need to be approved by the House or the Oval Office to take effect. It came soon after two high-profile federal shutdowns that saw many federal employees go without pay for weeks or even months.
