According to AAA, the average price was $4.723 Monday morning, down from $4.856 last Monday. However, gas prices remain volatile due to the ongoing war launched by the U.S. and Israel against Iran, which began over two months ago. Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway for the global oil trade, in retaliation for the war.
