DETROIT, MICH ~ Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield will make her first State of the City address at 7 p.m. at Mumford High School Tuesday night. According to Sheffield’s office and the Detroit Free Press, the city’s first female mayor will highlight her future goals for the city but also recap the work she has been able to complete since the start of the new year. The goals she has in place include improving public safety and working to boost the economy in neighborhoods that have been overlooked by downtown’s resurgence.
