DETROIT, MICH. ~ Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr threatened broadcast networks posting “fake news” about the war in Iran Saturday, claiming on X that he would deny licenses if this were the case. Trump followed with a Truth Social post Sunday supporting Carr’s threats. Trump also claimed that Iran is using A.I. to help spread disinformation about the war.
“I am so thrilled to see Brendan Carr, the Chairman of the FCC, looking at the licenses of some of these Corrupt and Highly Unpatriotic “News” Organizations,” Trump said in his social media update.
