ALLEN PARK, MICH. ~ The Detroit Lions are staying busy in NFL free agency, adding players from other winning teams around the league to help bring Detroit back to the postseason. After adding center Cade Mays and running back Isiah Pacheco, who both have playoff experience, Detroit signed defensive back Christian Izien to help out a secondary that is dealing with injury trouble.
“Just being a good communicator, a good teammate, and a good person,” Izien said when WJR Digital Sports Reporter Nick Lundberg asked about the winning qualities he brings from Tampa Bay Friday. “Having that grit, that dog mentality.”
