DETROIT, MI ~ Last Saturday, VA nurse Alex Pretti was shot and killed by a Border Patrol agent in Minneapolis. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and United States President Donald Trump stated that all the evidence will be thoroughly reviewed as part of the investigation into the shooting. “ICE officers do get a lot of training. When they are initially hired, they are sent to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynn County, Georgia. Handling riots and those types of things is not something that they specialize in like parts of police departments do, especially major city police departments,” Daniel Roberts, former special agent in charge of the Detroit FBI, retired police chief in Franklin and Bingham Farms, commented on the rising tensions from the public and the training of ICE officers in these situations.
