Jan. 20, 2026 ~ Nick Lundberg, WJR digital sports reporter, joins Kevin Dietz to talk about the new Lions’ offensive coordinator.
DETROIT, MI ~ The Detroit Lions have officially replaced former offensive coordinator John Morton with Drew Petzing, the former OC of the Arizona Cardinals. Petzing didn’t have much to work with in Arizona, as the team lacked top end talent on both sides of the ball and dealt with many injuries in 2025, which led to below-average offensive output. Petzing does have a close relationship with former Detroit OC Ben Johnson, as Petzing worked with Johnson at Boston College and served as one of the best men in Johnson’s wedding. Former Miami Dolphins Head Coach Mike McDaniel was strongly considered by the Lions for the job, but Detroit didn’t think he was the “right fit,” per ESPN. WJR‘s Nick Lundberg dives into the news on “All Talk.”
