KENTUCKY ~ Michelle Newton, a woman who was kidnapped in 1983 at three years old, has been identified after a family member reopened her case in 2016 which had been dismissed 25 years ago. Michelle’s mother who took her away, Debra, was identified in December 2025 and was extradited to Kentucky and charged with “custodial interference felony offense.” Michelle was unaware that her mother was lying to her.
