More Than 50% of Young Detroit Residents Likely to Leave

Nov. 19, 2025 ~ CEO of the Downtown Detroit Partnership Eric Larson joins Kevin Dietz to discuss how according to a new poll, nearly 52% of young adults in Detroit are likely to leave the city.

DETROIT, MI ~ While Detroit‘s population continues to climb, 52% of the young residents are likely to move out of the city. From affordability to transit, these are some of the issues that determine if a young adult will either stay or leave the city. CEO of the Downtown Detroit Partnership Eric Larson spoke more about this trend on WJR.
