Dan Gilbert’s Bedrock Realty is taking an ownership stake in the old Detroit Police headquarters, 1300 Beaubien.
Bedrock is going in with Highpoint Holdings. It isn’t clear how the building will be redeveloped.
1300 Beaubien was built in 1922. It’s been vacant for 5 years.
As part of Detroit’s historic bankruptcy settlement, the old headquarters development option was given to one of the City’s creditors, Syncora Guarantee Inc., which controls the property through its subsidiary Pike Pointe.
