Ferndale is trying something new to attract more visitors to the city on Mondays: free parking at parking meters. The business district is at 9 Mile and Woodward. The free parking starts next Monday. To park free at the meters, you’ll have to enter code 1918 at the parking kiosks. 1918 is when Ferndale was founded
