Labor activists have taken out recall petitions against Detroit Mayor Duggan, charging that Duggan gave favorable treatment to a nonprofit dedicated to preventing premature births due to the mayor’s ties to the doctor who heads the group. Robert Davis is one of the people who took out the petitions. Davis was the one who revealed the relationship between Duggan and the doctor.
Davis tried to recall the mayor in 2016 but failed to collect enough signatures.
