He cost his daughter her life because of his drunk driving accident.
Now, he’s going to prison.
Authorities say 47 year old Wilburt Thomas was drunk and high and driving a stolen van on I-94 near Inkster road in Romulus when he hit a car on the shoulder of the road
and then rammed into a fence.
His 7 year old daughter thought her father was dead … grabbed a backpack … got out of the car and tried to text 9-1-1 as she walked away from the scene.
She was hit by a woman who was driving eastbound on I-94.
Thomas agreed to plead guilty to a manslaughter charge and is facing up to 15 years in prison.
