IRAN ~ The U.S. and Iran began trading strikes again overnight after a brief pause in fighting, with another nation seemingly dragged into the regional conflict.
The U.S. said it launched heavy strikes on Iran after the latter launched missiles towards U.S. bases in Jordan. Iran reported that three members of the IRGC were killed in U.S. strikes, along with a civilian couple and their child on Qeshm Island. Iran has since launched more strikes at U.S. military sites in Jordan and Kuwait, with the latter reporting that a worker at a Chinese company building was killed in the process.
Meanwhile, Egypt reported that two ships at its Damietta port were struck by a drone. No group or country has claimed responsibility for the drone strikes, and Egyptian authorities are still investigating the strike.
