WASHINGTON, D.C. ~ The US House of Representatives voted to pass the Sunshine Protection Act last Tuesday in an effort to lengthen winter days and put an end to the twice-a-year clock change. The bill would keep the clocks one hour ahead, which happens in the spring.
After gaining bipartisan backing in a 308-117 vote, the legislation faces an uncertain future in the Senate. If it does make it through the Senate, it is likely that President Donald Trump will sign it into law, as he posted on Truth Social last Wednesday to celebrate the passing by the House.
