MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. ~ The Detroit Tigers are off to a rough start to the 2026 season. After dropping the fourth game of the series by a score of 3-1 Thursday afternoon to the Minnesota Twins at Target Field, Detroit sits at the bottom of the American League Central standings with a record of 4-9. The loss to Minnesota marks five straight, and eight straight away from Comerica Park. For a team projected to win the American League Central Division this year, the Tigers will need more production from the offense, specifically the heart of the order, including left fielder Riley Greene, first baseman Spencer Torkelson, and right fielder Kerry Carpenter.
