DETROIT, MICH. ~ Michigan men’s basketball is headed back to Final Four for the first time since 2018 after the top seed in the Midwest Region, the Wolverines, defeated the six seed Tennessee Volunteers 95-62 at the United Center in Chicago Sunday. Michigan will face the top seed in the West Region, the Arizona Wildcats, on Saturday in Indianapolis. For the Spartans, focus shifts to retooling the roster for a run at the 2027 Final Four at Ford Field. With a nationally recognized freshman class incoming to East Lansing, MSU should be considered an early favorite for the 2026-2027 season, especially returning two transfers from season-ending injuries, unless contributors unexpectantly hit the transfer portal.
