DETROIT, MICH. ~ Michigan Sen. Rosemary Bayer introduced a bill nearly two weeks ago that would require drivers over the age of 75 to complete training every four years to ensure safety on the road. The sessions would include a driving test, a written exam, and a vision check. According to the proposition, once drivers reach the age of 85, testing becomes yearly. The bill would be the first of its kind in Michigan, as there are no rules for drivers to retake exams for license renewals if the driver boasts a clean record on the road.
