DETROIT, MICH. ~ Both Michigan State and Michigan have a chance to reach the Elite 8 with a win on Friday night. Michigan, the top seed in the Midwest bracket, will tip off against four seed Alabama at the United Center in Chicago at 7:35 p.m. According to Sports Illustrated, Crimson Tide guard Aden Holloway was granted a request to travel out of the state by a judge Friday morning. Holloway, the team’s second leading scorer, didn’t play in the first two games of the tournament after his drug arrest. In the later game, head coach Tom Izzo and the three seed Spartans will duel with two seed UConn and head coach Dan Hurley at 9:45 p.m. at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.
