LANSING ~ Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is facing scrutiny over the price tag of a trade mission she took to Europe in February amid the winter Olympics in Milan.
The Detroit News found that her trips to Germany and Italy cost $208,000, with 88% of the funds coming from the Michigan Economic Development Corp., and 12% came from the Michigan Economic Development Foundation. Along with Whitmer, 11 guests and 11 Michigan State Police employees attended the trip.
