DETROIT, MICH. ~ After releasing two of their starting offensive linemen in Graham Glasgow and Taylor Decker last week, the Detroit Lions signed former Carolina Panthers center Cade Mays Monday afternoon. Mays comes to Detroit on a three-year, $25 million contract, filling a major need in the middle of the offensive line. NFL free agency doesn’t officially open until Wednesday though, as more moves are expected to be announced. Former Lions like linebacker Alex Anzalone and cornerback Amik Robertson have already found new homes in Tampa and Washington.
