Feb. 25, 2026 ~ Jamie Winkler, executive director of The Salvation Army’s Great Lakes Harbor Light System, joins Kevin Dietz to preview the 39th annual Bed & Bread Club Radiothon.
DEARBORN ~ WJR and The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit will run a 27‑hour community mission to fight hunger and homelessness across the metro Detroit region.
The 39th Annual Bed & Bread Club Radiothon returns from Feb. 26 at 4 p.m. – Friday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m., live on 760 WJR, with a goal of raising $1.225 million to support food and shelter programs that operate year-round across metro Detroit. A live broadcast will air Friday, Feb. 27, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Ford’s Garage, Dearborn.
The program serves 4,500+ meals every day to Detroiters in need, while providing nearly 200 nights of shelter daily. To donate, listeners can visit SAMetroDetroit.org, text BREAD to 24365, or call 833‑SAL‑HOPE.
